@Home Abroad is a platform set by the international students in the English Department in LUH. Our crew come from all over the world. We may have different cultural backgrounds and speak completely different language but we all treasure our friendship and support each other. “Crossing-Borders“ is an event in which Literature meets Photography, Theatre, Filmmaking and Music, in order to reflect upon and capture the emotions that spring from the dissolution of various types of borders and propose different perspectives on the topic of Migration and universality of art and emotions. The crossing of different fields of Art that inspires and thematically sustains the event wants to take the audience on a journey through human experience and share the emotions that Art generously provides; a journey open to everyone.
The crossing of borders is a multilayered, complex, and omnipresent phenomenon. The lines of delimitation between countries, spaces, and people can be physical or mental and scratch the horizon of human experience in a plethora of different shapes and intensities. Regardless of their thickness, the borders can be crossed and dissolve, unveiling a spectacle of shining shades; the shades that compose the mosaic of timeless and spaceless human stories that tremble with light and humanity.
